Hunapu is the historical Mayan name for one of three volcanos, also known as “Volcano de Agua”, that looms in the distance over the town of Antigua.
The farms located on and around the volcano benefit from fertile volcanic soil, temperate climate and high elevation, providing ideal growing conditions.
Many farmers located near and around the volcano bring their small lots of coffee, maybe 2-3 bags each, to Bella Vista to be washed and processed under the watchful eye of Luis Pedro Zelaya and his team.
