Ethiopia Admasu Duke Espresso - Single Origin.
Adamasu Duke and his family, produced this coffee on their privately owned, 6 hectare farm in Ethiopia.
This is a classic, naturally processed Ethiopian coffee; full of wild, sweet and rich flavours. Admasu constantly monitors critical drying points within the process to allow the flavour expressions of this coffee to be concentrated and controlled with impeccable manner. It is no surprise that this is a labour intensive activity, with tradition and experience central to the quality outcomes in the cup.
Traditionally, coffee from Ethiopian smallholders are blended together to create a collection of coffee known as a ‘lot’. These lots often lack traceability in the supply chain and are only identifiable down to the location at which the consolidated coffee is processed. The Lalisaa Project which this coffee is a part of, is an initiative that aims to connect smallholder farmers like Admasu to international buyers; through vertical integration; and open up direct export opportunities as well as greater return on resources; with which they are able to improve their livelihoods.
We recognise the hard work and value of Admasu and his family; and that is why this single-producer, family owned coffee is not only delicious, but so incredibly special.
