Hazelnut and dark chocolate with a creamy mouthfeel.

Origin: Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil
Variety: Catuaí
Process: pulped natural
Producer: Borré family
Relationship length: since 2015

The Borré family migrated from Southern Brazil to Bahia state in the 1980s and established Progresso farm. At that time, their focus was on food crops like wheat and potatoes. Recognising that the region’s relatively high elevation, plentiful rainfall and rich soil would be ideal for coffee production, the family began to focus on specialty coffee in 2005.

Today, Progresso farm’s coffee program is run by Fabiano Borré, who works alongside his father and grandfather. We were lucky enough to host Fabiano in Australia in March. In a presentation to our team, he told us, “Working in a family business is great. There’s a lot of effort and a lot of trust; a lot of good and strong points that move us forward.”

We’ve been sharing coffees from the Borré family since 2015, and every year they produce a line-up of delicious, diverse, and highly drinkable coffees! This sweet and creamy microlot is no exception. We hope you enjoy!
