2024 marks the 7th consecutive year that we’ve offered coffee produced by Kleumon Silva Moreira on his farm, Sítio Canaã. Before he established the 10-hectare farm, Kleumon worked for many years with Antônio Rigno, another one of our coffee suppliers who is widely regarded as the best producer in Piatã. Kleumon’s fastidious plant care and processing practices are testament to everything he’s learned from Antônio.
Kleumon established Sítio Canaã in 2016 (the farm’s name translates to ‘the promised land’ in Portuguese). His passion for coffee and his love of the local terrain run deep; he likes to spend his days off hiking the hills around the farm, and brewing and drinking coffee outdoors.
At harvest time, Kleumon’s picking team consists of his friends and family members, including his mum, Elisabeth, who lives nearby. This lot was carefully processed at Antônio’s farm using the pulped natural method. The result is a beautifully sweet and clean coffee with a smooth mouthfeel.
