2024 is the seventh consecutive year that we’ve been sharing beautiful coffees from Testi Coffee in Ethiopia. Founded in 2009 by Faysel Yonis, Testi is a family business that does a fantastic job of sourcing coffees from quality-focused growers, paying fair and sustainable prices for those coffees, and processing them with great care.
This lot of coffee was grown by 750 small-scale farmers near the village of Werka in the West Arsi region. At harvest time, the ripe coffee cherries were hand-picked and delivered to Testi’s Aash washing station, where the coffee was then expertly processed using the washed method.
It’s always exciting to have a new-season Ethiopian coffee on offer at Market Lane. Coffees from Ethiopia – the birthplace of coffee – tend to be elegant, distinctive and incredibly delicious.
