Mauricio Rosales established La Maravilla farm in 1997 with his late father, Guillermo. At the time, they had just three coffee plants and a dream of establishing a successful, progressive farm. Over the years, with dedication, hard work, and support from other producers, the pair planted the farm with coffee and built the infrastructure and processing facilities they needed.
In recent years, La Maravilla has been a placewinner in the Cup of Excellence on numerous occasions, and is now recognised internationally as one of the best coffee farms in Guatemala.
Guillermo passed away in 2005, having lived to realise the dream he and his son initially had for the farm. Today, Mauricio continues the family tradition by farming with his own son, Luis, a trained agronomist. Together, the pair work tirelessly to ensure that La Maravilla’s coffee is tasting exquisite, while also extending their support to dozens of neighbouring coffee farmers.
