This coffee was produced by Rony Asensio on his farm in Guatemala’s El Progreso department. Since 2014, Market Lane has been lucky enough to offer coffee from La Soledad, the farm Rony and his wife Ana Lucia Zelaya run in the Antigua region. This is the first time we’ve offered coffee from Rony’s Santa Ana La Huerta farm.
Rony is a perfectionist when it comes to coffee production. He works extremely hard to produce beautiful coffees like this one, paying close attention at every stage – from planting and pruning through to picking and processing at his on-site wet mill. He also works hard to take care of his employees, providing seasonal workers with fair pay, well-maintained accommodation and three meals a day during the busy harvest period.
We're so excited to have this espresso coffee on offer! In the cup, it has a rich body and chocolatey sweetness, and it tastes delicious both on its own and when paired with milk.
