Bwenda Mountain, Rwanda
Bernard Uwitije was born into a coffee producing family and now owns Tapro Washing Stations, a successful business that, in the most recent harvest, dealt with nearly 5,000 farmers. Bernard focuses on helping the community have a better and more sustainable life through coffee production. He works with all farmers but focuses on women, the disadvantaged, and the youth by providing farming education and donating towards projects like health insurance schemes, training, small loans and children's school fees.
