We're thrilled to introduce an incredible coffee from producer Gilmar Rezende, sourced in collaboration with 3Brothers Coffee!
SINGLE ORIGIN COFFEE DESCRIPTION
The 3Brothers team work exclusively with Brazil coffee producers and are committed to quality, consistency, community, environment and investing in their farmers to produce the best specialty coffee.
Coffee has always been a part of Gilmar Rezende's life. His father, also a coffee producer, planted many coffee trees in the 10 hectares of land that now surrounds Gilmar's estate, Sitio Pinheiros.
Gilmar has been managing the estate for 28 years, selling his coffee as specialty grade for the past six. Due to mountainous topography, harvesting is done manually and selectively, as the climate conditions result in a less uniform maturation. Post harvest, the coffee is divided between natural and pulped natural processing, and dried in traditional concrete patios. They also use a rotating artificial dryer knows in Brazil as a 'Guardiola'.
Sitio Pinheiros is located in Matas de Minas, a region of Brazil's largest coffee-growing estate, Minas Gerais, which accounts for nearly 50% of the country's production. Matas de Minas has an undulating landscape, characterised by a warm, humid climate. It's known for its increasing production of specialty coffee, which is typically sweet with citric, caramel or chocolate notes.
We're extremely proud to be working with 3Brothers Coffee and to be supporting Gilmar Rezende.
