It’s always exciting to bring a new naturally processed Ethiopian to the menu. Our coffee comes from the Sede Washing Station in Konga, Yirgacheffe. It’s a well-known, small but mighty coffee-producing region famous for its floral, stone fruit, citrus-style coffee. 

In the cup expect notes of toffee apple, plum, caramel, and dark cocoa.

Single Origin Coffee Description

It’s always exciting to bring a new naturally processed Ethiopian to the menu. Our coffee comes from Sede Washing Station in Konga, Yirgacheffe. It’s a small yet renowned and mighty coffee-producing region, famous for its floral, stone fruit, citrus-style coffee. 

This particular washing station is in partnership with our Green Coffee Partner, Cafe Imports. They buy their coffees through an export partner based in Ethiopia, making it possible to offer washing-station-specific lots, something that hasn’t always been accessible in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian washing stations mainly specialize in fully washed and natural processing methods. Their standards are high, only accepting red, ripe cherries and exacting drying practices. It’s also common for the coffee to be sorted several times during the drying process.

The result is a smooth cup with flavours of toffee, apple, plum, caramel, and dark cocoa with a winey acidity. This coffee shows why Ethiopian coffee is so well-loved by specialty coffee drinkers.
