Collaboration drives growth and innovation: The Resplendor Farm story began in the 70s when Walter Palmeiras and Alair Campos, from Machado in the south of Minas Gerais, migrated to Capelinha. Their vision and pioneer spirit brought numerous other growers to the region, fostering development and contributing significantly to the beginnings of a more equitable income distribution. In 2005, a new chapter unfolded as João Felisberto de Miranda took the helm. In 2009, he welcomed Gustavo Vieira de Carvalho Nunes as a partner, injecting fresh techniques and efficient administration into the farm.
Despite spanning different generations, Joao Miranda and Gustavo Nunes share a deep-rooted passion for coffee that courses through their veins. Their partnership sparked a transformative era in the Vale do Jequitinhonha region, marrying Brazil's microclimate advantages with cutting-edge planting technologies and post-harvest innovations.
With a sprawling coffee park spanning 600 hectares, Resplendor Farm is a testament to self-sustaining plantation practices.
Responsibly managed: The farm boasts integrated logistics with its warehouses, ensuring a consistent market supply without succumbing to crop failures. UTZ certification and Rainforest Alliance recognition underscore Resplendor Farm's commitment to sustainable agriculture, social responsibility, and continued environmentally conscious operation.
Geral Super Safra Warehouse: Gustavo Nunes’ ownership of the Geral Super Safra Warehouse in the south of Minas Gerais adds another layer of efficiency and sophistication to Resplendors' industry-leading agricultural systems. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, this facility is the nexus for the entire farm's production and is responsible for all selection for distribution and storage. The Geral Super Safra Warehouse has become a benchmark in Brazil, providing selection, distribution, and storage services to other producers and globally renowned exporting firms.
