Named after the village it hails from, Chirinos is a regional blend from a small group of dedicated farmers, offering both maximum flavour and remarkable traceability. Now in our third year sourcing Chirinos, we’ve been consistently impressed by the steady climb in quality. Once again, we’re thrilled to showcase the distinct character of this tiny village and its surroundings; exotic, fruity, intensely sweet, and vibrant in a way that defies expectations of Peruvian coffee.
Located in San Ignacio province in Northern Peru, Chirinos is part of a region we identified as having untapped quality potential. With its high altitudes, fertile soil, and traditional coffee varieties, the area has long been rooted in coffee cultivation. Local expertise runs deep, with producers routinely delivering specialty-grade coffee with minimal agricultural inputs or soil treatment. Most farms operate organically by default. Harvesting practices are honed to precision, with pickers selecting only the ripest cherries, and producers embracing measured, extended fermentations to coax out vibrant fruit profiles while preserving clarity in the cup.
