Took a bit of a risk with this one as Staple seem to have a low (or developing!) profile in terms of their coffee. That said, looking at the way they approach their foodstore I was confident that they're putting a lot of effort in - and their roasting is supported by Criteria Coffee, so perhaps it wasn't much of a risk after all.
Turns out I was pleasantly surprised. A Brazilian bean and a swiss water process have produced a smooth, sweet and slightly nutty decaf that doesn't come with the char that decaf beans often get due to over-roasting - decaf beans move a little faster through the roasting process and carry different coloring so can be hard to roast 'just right'. That said, the Staple team have done it and this is a very easy to drink coffee - I'm glad I've got a big bag of it.
All coffee is sold as Whole Beans.
Our Decaf is a problem solver when you want coffee without the caffeine. With our Decaf we have chose to use a coffee from Santos, Brazil that is processed through Swiss Water Methods using continuously filtered water to soak the coffee beans with the aim of removing all caffeine contents.
Which results in a sweet and full body coffee, with flavours of Cashews, Cinnamon and Milk Chocolate. Sounds too good to be true for a non coffee beverage right?
