We're thrilled to introduce you to Ocholo Bedecho, a new and exceptional coffee producer from Ethiopia's renowned Guji region.

Mr. Ocholo Bedecho cultivates 8 hectares of coffee land in the Urga district of Oromia Regional State, Guji Zone, located just 12 km from the small town of Haro Wachu. His farm is among the largest in the district, and it's truly a family endeavor. Together with his wife and eight children—two daughters and six sons—they pour their hearts into the land. Thanks to his dedication to coffee, Mr. Ocholo has been able to send all his children to school, where they excel before returning to help on the farm.

The Guji region, a lush and forested area in southern Ethiopia, was once part of Sidama until the early 2000s. The high-altitude coffee gardens of Guji, nurtured in the region's rich red soil, produce a coffee profile that's distinct from its neighbouring areas. Smallholder producers like Mr. Ocholo deliver their handpicked coffee cherries to local washing stations, where they are carefully sorted and processed to highlight the unique characteristics of the region.

Ocholo's natural heirloom varietal coffee is a true reflection of this remarkable terroir, offering vibrant notes of jasmine, ripe mango, and a touch of brown sugar.
