Luis grows this Pink Bourbon at his farm, La Esperanza, tucked into the hills of Huila, Colombia. His family’s been producing coffee for years, and they’ve got a pretty special way of doing things — especially when it comes to processing. This lot is washed using a method they’ve refined over generations, and it shows in the cup.
We’ve been working with Luis for over five years now, and he’s easily one of our favourite producers. Every year his Pink Bourbon is a standout — clean, sparkly, and full of life. This release is a small one (just a micro lot), and it’s tasting as good as ever. Think Raspberry, a little Cola Fizz, and a floral Frangipani note that makes it pop. It’s bright, balanced, and one of the best washed lots we’ve tasted this year.
