Lovely coffee

This has been my favourite coffee I've tried so far. I have yet to tried them all from direct coffee, but this is one that I will definitely add to my cart if I order a mix pack.

Quality degraded very quickly

Not sure if it was a bad batch, but it smelled beautiful and made a very smooth espresso within the first week of roasting. I could never get the same results from second week onwards despite a clean of the machine and the beans lost much of its fragrance. Expected better from this bean.

Hi Daniel,
Sorry to hear that the coffee degraded so fast.
Would love to offer you a replacement coffee to make up for it.
Please let me know if there's any other coffee you would like to try :)
Sorry again,
Tim

Marimbus
Chapada Diamantina, Brazil

Tasting notes:
Dark chocolate and walnut with a soft orange finish.

The delicious Marimbus is a long-time favourite at Market Lane. Toshi, our Brazil coffee buyer and Director of QC, describes it as a “beautifully well-balanced and easy drinking coffee that tastes great black and with milk”.

Fazenda Progresso is owned by the Borré family and run by third-generation farmer Fabiano Borré (pictured). “Fabiano is very smart and decisive,” says Toshi. “He cares deeply about coffee. He and [Progresso’s head cupper] Ednaldo do a lot of research, and their coffee quality improves every year.”

The Borré family’s motto is ‘Mindful Coffee’. This describes their commitment to acting mindfully and ensuring that their core values – excellence, innovation, environmental and social responsibility – inform the way they do business and the decisions they make.

We’ve been working with Fabiano and Progresso since 2015. We look forward to sharing their coffees for many years to come!
