About The Coffee:
Granitos de Ortiz is a beautiful micromill in the Santa Maria de Dota hills in Tarrazu. Omar Calderon is the producer and
he, alongside his four daughters have been growing coffee and processing it in their own micro mills for the last 20 years.
The five farms are situated all over 1800 meters and he is assisted with the work, both in the field and behind the scenes, by his coffee obsessed daughters.
The farms are ‘2000 Ortíz’ (2000m), the ‘1900 Ortíz’ (1900m), ‘la Granadilla’ (1800m), ‘la Casa’ (1750m) and the ‘Nery’ (1700m).
Each of them with a selection of different varietals, from Gesha to Villalobos, to make the most of the unique topography they have come to call home.
