La Union is one of several farms processed at the Cerro Alto micro mill — one of Axil's longest-standing relationships, now fifteen years deep.
The estate runs to roughly 18 cultivated hectares at 1,500 masl and is managed by Fernando Elías and Silvia Elena. Caturra and Catuai still make up the main crop, but in recent years they have been planting out SL28, Gesha, Milenio and Villa Sarchí. This washed SL28 lot carries the variety's signature acidity into an espresso roast — apricot and mandarin over a molasses base.
