About The Coffee:Finca Sumava is situated in Costa Rica's West Valley Region, specifically in the Naranjo micro-region. The farm's elevation ranges between 1500 and 1600 meters above sea level, and it's divided by coffee variety. This particular microlot, composed of Villa Sarchi, comes from a section of the farm called Monte Lourdes. The coffee is meticulously cultivated by our good friend, Francisco Mena.
Francisco is a leader and innovator in the specialty coffee industry. He's always experimenting with different processing methods, coffee types, and drying techniques to create exceptionally flavorful coffees. We're thrilled to work with his coffee, and it's no surprise that his farm earned the prestigious Costa Rica Cup of Excellence award in 2016.
