Grown on the fertile slopes of Mt. Kenya in Kirinyaga County and produced by the acclaimed Baragwi Farmers Cooperative Society. Registered in 1953, Baragwi is among the oldest coffee cooperatives in Kenya, today operating 12 factories for more than 16,000 members. Following the traditional Kenyan washed process, only the ripest cherries are hand-picked, then pulped, fermented overnight, aggressively washed and sun-dried on raised beds for 8–14 days — locking in the brilliant clarity and complex, fruit-forward character these coffees are known for.
