Muchagara Washing Station sits on the slopes of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga, where smallholder members of the Baragwi Farmers' Cooperative Society deliver ripe cherry.
Volcanic soils and high altitude suit the classic SL28 and SL34 varieties grown here. Cherries are hand-sorted, pulped, fully washed and fermented, graded in channels, then dried slowly on raised beds for a clean, bright cup.
