Colombia Lidia Majin Espresso - Single Origin

Coffee has always played a major part in Lidia Majin & Alexander Vargas’ lives. Around the year 2000 they decided to start producing coffee on their own, acquiring a piece of scrub land & planting their first coffee trees.

Lidia & Alexander built & adapted Finca La Piragua from scratch. They are very proud to say that everything they own were created by family. Today, they own 10 hectares of coffee, 7 of them under production & the rest with dragonfruit.

Lidia works together with husband Alexander to process & produce specialty coffee. Alexander takes care of harvesting coffee trees, & together with Lidia, they both take care of the fermentation & drying processes.

In 2006, they decided to focus on producing solely specialty coffees as a way to add value & find recognition for their hard work on every lot they have delivered. To achieve this, they started working with a coffee group called Café Quebradón, where they learnt & gained much experience & knowledge. Afterwards, they continued work as independent producers, applying everything that was learnt, on their farm, while improving processes & infrastructure to better their quality.
