Adanech Gemede farms roughly 6.45 hectares at Dobi Village in Yirgacheffe, taking over the family plot with her son Tego after her husband died in 2016 and lifting both quality and yield.
Selling through the Jabanto group has given her direct access to exporters since 2018, part of Ethiopia's shift toward single-producer traceability rather than pooled washing station lots. Ripe cherry is handpicked, sorted and dried whole on raised beds for 18 to 21 days with frequent turning, giving a vivid cup of fruit, florals and a tea-like finish.
