Adanech Gemede farms roughly 6.45 hectares at Dobi Village in Yirgacheffe, taking over the family plot after her husband died in 2016 and building quality and yield alongside her son Tego.
Selling through the Jabanto group has let her reach exporters directly since 2018, part of Ethiopia's wider shift toward single producer traceability rather than pooled washing station lots. Ripe cherry is handpicked, sorted and dried whole on raised beds for 18 to 21 days with frequent turning, giving a vibrant cup of fruit, florals and a tea-like finish.
