This sweet, vibrant microlot was produced by our long-time Bolivian supply partners, the Rodríguez family, on Don Carlos farm. The family named the farm in honour of their team member, Don Carlos Mariaca, who has worked with them for nearly three decades.
Don Carlos has very strong ties to the producing community in the Caranavi area. As part of his work with the Rodríguez family, he supports local small-scale coffee farmers by providing agricultural advice, helping to meet their water needs, and even ensuring their children receive an education. He has also liaised with the municipal government to raise funds for social projects to benefit the town, earning him the respect of the local community.
This special coffee was carefully grown at Don Carlos farm and processed at the Rodríguez family’s wet mill. It’s distinct and complex with delicious tropical flavours in the cup.
