Market Lane has been buying coffee from Bolivia's Rodríguez family since 2011, historically from their farms around Caranavi. This lot comes from Samaipata instead — an emerging growing region near Santa Cruz at the foot of the Bolivian Andes, where a subtropical climate, high elevations and fertile soils proved ideal when the family took a chance on planting the area's first specialty coffee farm. That gamble paid off, and they've since grown to four farms and a wet mill in the region. This washed Caturra is selected from two of those Samaipata farms, El Fuerte and Floripondio, and roasted for filter brewing.
