Antônio Rigno, now 77, still spends every day on the farm running the growing and processing, while Terezinha, 80, handles the administration and runs their much-loved cafe in town. Forty years in, the pair are known less for their own reputation than for how freely they share it, mentoring growers across Piatã and holding a hard line on sustainable farming and the native forest covering much of the property. It lands in the cup as a sweet, easygoing espresso: mandarin and almond over milk chocolate.
