Finca Lomaverde sits high in the mountains of northwestern Colombia, where cloud cover settles over the surrounding valleys and shields the crop from frost. Rich volcanic soil and a cool, steady climate give the farm ideal growing conditions.
The farm was originally planted in 1975 for volume, but the Echavarría family have since shifted their focus to soil health and cup quality, replanting with heirloom varieties such as Chiroso and moving away from heavy fertiliser use toward more regenerative practices. This washed Chiroso lot is sweet and layered, with stone fruit acidity carried by a delicate black tea finish.
