Kii is a renowned washing station in Kenya's central highlands, named after the nearby Kii River that separates Kirinyaga and Embu counties.
Cherries are picked by smallholder members of the Rungeto Farmers' Cooperative Society in the surrounding hills, then processed with clean river water and meticulous care at the factory. Market Lane selected this lot after tasting hundreds of coffees on a recent trip to Kenya, drawn to its vibrancy, sweetness and depth of flavour.
