Single Origin Filter Coffee Description
Luzmila González is a first-generation coffee grower who started her journey in 2008 with the support of her husband, Eider. Originally from an urban area, Luzmila had always dreamed of living rurally and farming her own land. With a bank loan and the help of her local community, she purchased El Oasis and began cultivating coffee—learning through observation, experimentation, and collaboration with fellow producers.
Over the years, she has adopted organic practices, earning certification after eight years of dedicated work. Today, she operates two farms (El Oasis and El Recreo), grows a mix of traditional and hybrid varietals, and runs a small business selling clothing and beauty products in her local town. Luzmila regularly competes in regional coffee competitions, often placing among the top finalists.
This lot is 100% Tabi—a hybrid varietal developed by Colombia’s National Coffee Federation for disease resistance and cup quality. The cherries were harvested using strict ripeness criteria, underwent 30 hours of underwater fermentation, and were then pulped, washed and dried under controlled conditions. The result is a coffee that’s as technically impressive as it is delicious—bursting with fruit and finishing with floral finesse.
