Mt Elgon is a vast growing area, with each pocket differing in climate, elevation, sun exposure and soil, so "Elgon" is the name Zukuka Bora give to coffee drawn from across the mountain.
Standout lots are kept separate as single-region microlots, while other high-quality coffees are combined into Elgon washed, honey and natural offerings, sometimes curated to highlight a shared flavour profile. It also makes room for growers just outside the usual buying zones who want to be part of the Zukuka project.
