About: Manuel Vallecillo grew up working in coffee near Santa Barbara, spent years in the US, then came back in 2014 to buy Finca Los Primos in the mountains around El Cielito. The farm is planted entirely to Pacas, a Salvadoran variety that thrives in this corner of Honduras, and Manuel now splits his year between the harvest at the farm and family life in Houston. Proud Mary has worked with producers around Peña Blanca and Lake Yojoa since 2012, and this lot keeps earning its place on their cupping table: silky and layered, with yellow plum, cranberry and black tea.
