We’re proud to be in our fourth year of purchasing directly from the Pereira Sisters, who continue to impress us with their precision and professionalism. This year’s naturally processed lot is a standout: silky in texture, rich in flavour, and perfectly suited to milk-based drinks.

Coffee from Irmas Pereira has long been a staple in our espresso blends. This release marks the first time we’ve released their Natural Process lot as a standalone single origin espresso; a testament to the sisters’ ever-improving quality. This is a warm, welcoming espresso with broad appeal; classy yet affordable, and tailored to those who love their coffee with dairy or alt-milk.

The Pereira story began in the early 1970s, when Antonio and Maria Pereira purchased 90 acres of fertile land in Carmo de Minas. With a love for nature and a dream to grow exceptional coffee, they planted their first seedlings and raised two daughters—Maria Valeria and Maria Rogeria—who grew up immersed in farm life. Over time, the family expanded, the farm evolved, and the sisters took the reins, renaming it Irmas Pereira. Today, they continue to push boundaries with experimental processing and a pioneering spirit. As Maria Rogeria puts it: “Our greatest pride is our union as sisters, and our greatest challenge is keeping our pioneering spirit up to date. If we stay a step ahead of the changing market, we’ll always be in a strong position.”
