Grown in the Bensa Highlands of Sidama, a relatively young coffee area where shifting climate over recent decades has made the altitude ideal for cherry production.
Water is scarce this high up, so sun-dried natural processing is the practical norm — and Basha Bekele has mastered it, taking out the 2024 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence at 90.50 points on his very first entry. Seven Seeds has bought from him for six years, and this lot shows off elegant florals and a lush, jammy texture.
