Nicaragua El Limoncillo Javanica

Driving home from the farm, the Mierisch family stopped for fruit from a roadside seller who happened to be carrying a sack marked "Java" — seeds of a rare variety he was convinced were the real thing. Sceptical but sympathetic, they bought the lot, and the planting that followed turned into one of the farm's most distinctive coffees.

Grown at 850–1100 masl in Yasicasur, Matagalpa and processed as a natural, this is a wild and complex light roast built for filter brewing — pineapple and strawberry milkshake up front, with rose water lingering underneath.
